Many people, companies, managers are still under the impression that it is all just about making a good product and everything else is automatic. If you think this way I honestly believe most (Not necessarily all the time) of the time you will not be right.
很多人、公司以及经理都仍然停留在这样的印象:所有好产品的生产或者其他事情都是自然而然的,如果你是这样想,老实说我认为大部分时候(不说全部)你都会搞砸。
While sometimes the big sales happen because a product is good, most of the time it definitely requires a much bigger effort.
有时候销售得好是因为有好的产品,更多时候这绝对需要更多的努力。
The steps required having a successful launch of a product line or series are mentioned above, and even when you do it 100% the success is not guaranteed.
成功研发一个产品或者系列所需要的步骤以前已经提及过了,而且即使你100%做到,也不能保证你一定成功。
I have many times showed some of our employees different examples when two different things, one works well and the other one does not. And many times it is just because one company followed the steps above and the other one did not.
很多次,我向我们一些员工展示两种不一样的的例子,一个成功了,另一个失败了。很多时候只是因为一家公司遵循了上述的步骤,而另一家则没有做。
Let me give you a good example: Two different companies decide that a certain style of product (Like a Metallic) is trendy and it is ok to produce. It is not just about going to Italy or a local design company and buys the design and produces it. You have to do some additional research like what color(s) to produce, what effects and raw materials you need to create a good final result, what texture, what kind of mold to use, what SIZE or SIZES to produce, what you are going to accessorize it with?
让我给你一个好例子:两家不同的公司决定研发一个相同风格的产品(像金属风格),而且可以生产。但这不仅仅是去意大利或者当地的设计公司买设计然后生产。你必须做一下额外的调查,如生产的颜色、要想创造一个好的最终效果你需要什么样特殊效果以及原材料,什么样的质感、用什么模具生产,生产什么尺寸,用什么跟它搭配?
You need to have all these questions answered before you even buy the design and then go to the next step. How is this product line going to play with the rest of your existing product offering? Where am I going to produce it? Which Line? Which digital machine? Is the line accessorized correctly to achieve the ideal final result? Do you have the correct raw materials to achieve the right effects?
在你买设计进入下一个步骤前,你必须先回答这些问题。这个新品系列将会与你现有的产品如何搭配?我要打算在哪里生产?哪一条线?哪台喷墨机器?这条生产线有好配置从而达到理想的效果?你有没有好的原材料达到想要的效果?
Here is where I see most of the companies failing to achieve maximum or optimal results and just end producing a trendy product but the rest is just very so, so or not done at all. When the other company answers all the questions that I mentioned above it just gives them a better chance to have a good product, and have a much greater chance to sell it well than the other. But remember it is only a good product, having a good and well produced item is just the beginning. Then you move to the next part: Do you know how are you going to use it? How you are going to combine it with? How to install it? How are you going to decorate that space?
这里就是我看到的大部分企业未能达到最大或最佳的效果的原因,仅仅只是生产了一个潮流性的产品,但剩下的工作做得非常一般,或者根本没有做。当其他公司回答了我以上提到的问题时,这会让他们更有机会去拥有一款好产品,而且有极大的可能比其他公司销售更好。但是谨记它只是一款好产品,拥有一款好的产品只是开始。然后下一步:你知道怎么用吗?你打算怎么搭配?怎么应用?怎样去装饰那个空间?
And even if you do all of these right you still need to pay a lot of attention to balancing these elements so that the decoration does not overwhelm the tile or the opposite. You have to also pay a lot of attention to the lighting. Good lighting helps more than you think! Everything looks the same in the dark right?
即使你做的这些是正确的,你仍然花很多心思平衡这些元素,以至这些装饰不会喧宾夺主或者成为对立。你需要花很多心思在灯光。好的灯光效果远远大于你所想!所有东西在黑夜看都是一样的,不是吗?
And last but not least training your personnel is a MUST. They need to know what they are selling, how the product was produced, what was the inspiration, why it is better? Why it is different? And so on……….
SO FOLLOW THE STEPS AND YOU WILL HAVE A GREATER CHANCE TO HAVE SUCCESS!
最后,必须要培训你的员工。他们需要知道他们在卖什么,产品是怎么生产的,灵感是什么,为什么更好?为什么会与别不同?等等……
所以,根据这些步骤,你将会有更大的可能获得成功!
