What interesting things were seen through the eyes of an international buyer?
The rush of the ceramic fairs in Guangzhou (Canton Fair) and CERAMBATH (Foshan) is over. It is one of the busiest moments for all the ceramic brands in the months of April and October. It seems to me that maybe April might be busier than October.
繁忙的广交会和陶博会结束了。 对于所有的陶瓷品牌来说, 4月和10月是最繁忙的时段。而对我而言,可能4月比10月更忙。
Anyway unfortunately this year COVERINGS in USA this year was held in Chicago exactly at the same time then CERAMBATH and it affects either we like it or not the volume of visitors to either show.
不幸的是,今年在美国芝加哥的COVERINGS展也在同期举办,所以不管我们喜欢与否,两边的展会的人流都有所影响。
Anyway, let’s start with the feedback: Canton Fair was according to all my international friends kind of boring in the sense that everything seemed the same every year. The booths look similar, the number of ceramic participants is the same so in this way it becomes completely unattractive. But on the other hand there were some interesting products seen in different sizes and styles like digital wood planks in 120 length, nicer 60x60 digital non polished items and hundreds of the usual items of full polished or even some marble ceramics but here nothing much worth mentioning.
好吧,进入正题:根据我的国际朋友的反馈,广交会有些无聊,感觉每年的东西都差不多。展位看上去相似,陶瓷参展商数量也差不多,这样的话,它变得完全没有吸引力。当然,也看到了一些有趣的产品,比如1200mm的木纹转,更好的600mm规格喷墨的非亮面瓷砖,还有数以百计的普通全抛花色甚至一些大理石瓷砖,但是没有更多值得提及的了。
The winners in Canton fair were the nicer 120 length digital wood planks and second the concrete or cement looking digital items. They would grade Canton Ceramic Fair barely a 7 out of 10 points.
广交会的赢家是更好的1200mm木纹砖,第二当属喷墨的混凝土或者水泥类的产品,它们给广交会至少加了7到10分。
On the other hand CERAMBATH where I also had the opportunity to walk through some of the stands seemed without a doubt more interesting. Here the feedback was as follows: Better booths especially the temporary ones presenting products in a much better and understandable way. Digital Technology definitely has made a positive impact and many products were much better looking and appealing to the international community. The winners here were concrete looking products and second the nicer looking wood planks in 90 size and a few in 120 cm size.
在另一边的陶博会, 我走了一些展位,毫无疑问,这边更加有趣,反馈如下:更好的展位、特别是那些把产品展示到位,更现代的展位。喷墨技术毫无疑问发挥了非常积极的作用,很多产品的外观更棒了,对于国际群体更具吸引力。这里的赢家是混凝土外观的产品,其次是外观更棒的900mm规格木纹以及一些1200mm规格的木纹。
In regards to the most mentioned things during the fair were the following things not in any particular order of importance: The New showroom built by SANFI that was 100% renovated with a new product and decoration proposal; The new showroom by DongPeng in their building next to China Cearmic City; The new modern international showroom by KITO in the front of their current office and the new ICC showroom in China Ceramic City. These were the most mentioned by the International buyers when I had the chance to talk to them.
陶博会期间被提及最多的事情如下(没有特别的排序):兴辉用新产品和新装饰方案打造的新展厅;东鹏在中国陶瓷城边上自己大楼里的新展厅;金意陶在现在办公室前面的新现代国际范展厅,以及ICC位于中国陶瓷城的新旗舰店。这些是我和国际买家交谈的时候被提及最多的。
In my personal opinion I see a lot of progress, things are changing for the better and the different brands are upgrading not only their products but also their showrooms in regards to becoming more attractive to the international buyer.
就我个人而言, 我看到了很多进步,事情变得更好,很多不同的品牌为了对国际买家变得更具吸引力正在升级,这不限于他们的产品,同样也包括他们的展厅。
We all see that the modern rustic and the marble ceramics are the two styles that are making the most noise as the preferred styles to push by the most important ceramic brands.
我们都看到了现代仿古和大理石瓷砖是市场上面动静最大的两个品类,同样也是最重要的瓷砖品牌最着力推的两个品类。
