As a result of the COVID-19, the workplace will never be the same. I am referring to the place we work regardless of which country we are talking about. The word “workplace” suddenly seems obsolete as the physical location in which we work now has somehow merged with the places where we eat, sleep, learn, exercise and play.
受新冠疫情的影响,工作场所将不再是以前的样子。我指的是我们工作的地方,不管我们谈论的是哪个国家。“工作场所”一词突然显得过时了,因为现在我们工作的地方已经与我们吃饭、睡觉、学习、运动和娱乐的地方融合在一起了。
Within many different organizations this pandemic has been driving significant change we can’t ignore in how employees operate and interact with each other, as well as with clients, customers and vendors as we shift past the immediate response to the crisis while we enter into the temporary or permanent “new normal”.

The Covid-19 crisis created an unexpected overnight opportunity for people to see the impact of meaningful change, and witness the negative consequences to ignore the aberration from everyday life as usual.

Winning organizations will be those that integrate and master digital work, community and collaboration. To succeed, companies need to begin planning now on some key points:

1、FULL DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION SUPPORTED BY A TRULY VIRTUAL WORKFORCE. I believe that all the companies have quickly figured out how to serve their customers and clients remotely and there is no going back. From remote learning for schools, telemedicine and doctors, streaming fitness classes. The result will be the high demand for highly skilled remote workers.

2、FOCUS ON OUTPUT VERSUS FACE TIME. Being the first one in the office and the last one to leave is no longer a measure of commitment and performance. In a post COVID-19 world employees will be measured on what gets done and the value of their work rather than on the individual tasks and the time it takes to get it done.

3、RESPECT FOR WORK-LIFE BLEND. No more than ever before, companies are recognizing that working 9-5 is completely unsuited to the demands of a modern workforce. Measuring staff based on performance which can result in bigger benefits for the organization.
3.尊重工作与生活的融合。公司比以往任何时候都更清晰地认识到,朝九晚五的工作完全不适合现代员工的需求。领导者应该更加注重灵活性,让员工在何时、如何完成他们的最佳工作,以满足他们的个人需求和公司的需求。根据绩效衡量员工,这可以为组织带来更大的利益。
4、BETTER COMMUNICATION. Employees are communicating more efficiently and even more frequently across a networked environment, and the leaders should make communication easier for their people by removing obstacles and creating a governance structure that pushed decision making out and down. Empower the employees by easier decision making that will facilitate information flow across the company.
4.更好的沟通。员工在网络环境中进行更高效、甚至更频繁的沟通,领导者应通过消除障碍、创建让决策可推行的管理架构,使员工之间更容易沟通。通过更容易的决策来赋能员工,这将促进整个公司的信息流动。
5、INCREASE TRUST, TRANSPARENCY AND EMPATHY. We are witnessing a revolution in leadership. Now leaders and employees must understand and support each other like never before. Humility and listening skills are essential qualities of the new great leaders. And the leaders that demonstrate these qualities and publicly recognize their employees will earn greater trust and loyalty from their employees. People are sharing more about their personal life and situations and as a result they are creating an expectation of humanity, active listening, support and connection.
5.增加信任、透明度和同理心。我们正在见证一场领导力的革命。现在,领导者和员工必须前所未有地相互理解和相互支持。谦卑和倾听技巧是新一代伟大领导的基本素质。表现出这些品质并公开地认可员工的领导者,将获得员工更多的信任和忠诚。人们更多地分享自己的个人生活和状态,因此他们创造了对人性的期待、积极的倾听、支持和联系。
Covid-19 is definitely changing our behaviors and the change in the workplace is no exception. Leaders need to be prepared and set expectations for different ways of working that will benefit their companies in the future so employees can focus on the strategic business priorities.
新冠疫情无疑正在改变我们的行为,工作场所的变化也不例外。领导者需要为不同的工作方式做好准备和设定期望,这些工作方式将在未来有益于公司,这样员工可以专注于战略业务的优先事项。
